March 20th: Mild Friday and Snow by Sunday

Mild Friday and Snow by Sunday

A weak cold front moves through Friday afternoon and may bring a quick round of very light snow/rain accumulations possible and gusty southwest winds. Pretty dry conditions are expected Friday and Saturday with temperatures reaching into the 30s and 40s. Some gusty northwesterly winds may overlap with dry areas Friday afternoon with gusts of 15 to 30 mph. Saturday, the drier day of the two, should however be calm.

A slower-moving clipper is forecast Saturday night into Monday morning and is likely to bring widespread accumulating snow to the Northland. There are still some uncertainties in the track of the clipper system and how much rain may mix in with the snow which will affect snowfall amounts.

Keep an eye on travel conditions on Sunday as roads could become slick. Temperatures will warm up into the 40s with more sunshine by the middle of next week. >
