We’re starting off the work week cooler than average. Tomorrow evening showers return, and areas of heavy rain are possible. There is a chance of excessive rainfall but because of our current drought we are unlikely to see any flooding. Stronger storms and even a few severe storms are possible through the Wednesday. The biggest threat will likely be large hail and damaging winds.
Now, it appears the worst of it will be online from the Brainerd Lakes area to Duluth and south of this line. This includes east central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. Showers will stick around through Thursday. By the end of the week, an area of high pressure is set to roll in as well as excessive heat. Temperatures will likely climb well into he 80s this weekend and into the weekend.
