Justin Liles: Calmer winds and sunshine to remain in control until Wednesday
We certainly started our work week with some windy conditions that saw wind gusts over 60 mph. The good new is as the low responsible for these windy conditions slides farther east and area of high pressure settles back into the Northland.
This means winds will continue to die down through the evening and overnight. Chilly conditions will take over Tuesday morning as temps fall into the 20s. Skies will be clear on Tuesday, but winds will be a touch breezy out of the south. Another weather maker is set to take hold as a low comes through Wednesday into Thursday. Most of it does look to be rain and most of it looks to fall in north central Minnesota toward the Brainerd Lakes area. Enough cold air could make its way far enough south might just bring in a slushy mix for communities in Northern Minnesota, including the Iron Range. Sunshine and warmer weather returns for the end of the week and into the weekend.
