Justin Liles: Chance of accumulating snow this weekend
Skies will continue to hold onto clouds over the weekend. We may see some light flurries around the region tonight. Saturday, we see a possible peak of sunshine along with some much lighter wind. Those of you hitting the woods for the Wisconsin hunting deer opener and those in Minnesota for the last weekend are looking at decent conditions.
A chance for accumulating snow arrives late Sunday, continuing through Monday and into early Tuesday morning. A couple inches are possible across the Borderlands, MN Arrowhead, and South Shore. There is still some uncertainty regarding snow placement, so additional shifts may occur yet. With temperatures cooling down, some snow that falls may stick around. The shift in temperatures is expected to arrive through next week. Seasonable temperatures with highs in the 20s and 30s and lows in the teens are forecast through Thanksgiving, with a further drop in temperatures beyond that. There is a good chance of below normal temperatures into early December.
