Justin Liles: Our beautiful weather continues

July 17th: The nice weather continues

The nice weather continues

Weather has been quiet today as dry and cool air has moved into the Northland. Skies will clear out late this afternoon and evening and give way to a cooler night. Many areas of the Northland will drop into the 40s, especially north. Rain is going to be hard to come by the remainder of the week as high pressure settles in over Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the U.P. of Michigan. There is always a chance of late day showers popping up for a moment with enough daytime heating.

Wind speeds will be light the rest of this week too. Temperatures will climb back to the low 80s by the end of the week and into the weekend. It will likely be a touch more humid too, but nothing like what we saw last weekend. With more moisture arriving by the end of the week modifying the airmass with storm chances increasing this weekend though nothing widespread.
