Justin Liles: Pop up showers this evening, Sunny and pleasant the rest of the week!

July 16th: Fair skies the rest of the week

Fair skies the rest of the week

Isolated popcorn showers will continue to develop around the Northland through the afternoon and evening. These showers will be short lived and likely have no intensity with them. As the sun goes down any chance of storms diminishes with daytime heating. Overnight, temperatures look to cool down into the 40s and 50s. Communities near Lake Superior will see warmer temperature due to the lake water being warmer right now.

High pressure is set to roll in through the rest of the week. Wednesday will be the coolest day of the week with highs in the low 70s. The rest of the week is going to be quiet with plenty of sunshine heading into the weekend. This includes Thursday in Bayfront Park for the Brantley Gilbert concert. There will be a chance of light rain and maybe a thunderstorm this weekend for the Reggae Festival during the afternoon hours. The chance looks slim as most of the rain hangs around the International Border.
