A large low north of the International border will influence our weather over the next 24-36hrs. This low will send several impulses southward into the Northland and create showers and thunderstorms. The first arrives early Tuesday morning. Rain showers are likely with heaviest rain falling across the Iron Range. Some storms might get strong enough to get close to severe category but at the time, everything seems to be weaker storms. Additional rain is likely on Wednesday. These will likely be more daytime heating induced rain showers. Very similar to the quick bursts of rain we saw Sunday. Another chance of rain arrives Thursday. Temperatures will remain slightly cooler than average this week with the presence of the low north of the border. Ridging and warmer air returns this weekend.
