Showers and thunderstorms are expected on tonight and Wednesday as a cold front sweeps through. Some of the storms this afternoon and evening could become severe. Primary severe storm hazards include damaging winds up to 60-70 mph and large hail up to 1.5″. A tornado can’t be ruled out today as well as locally heavy rainfall. Temperatures turn much cooler for mid to late this week behind the passage of a cold front later today into Wednesday.

Once showers and thunderstorms exit the area on Wednesday, little to no precip is expected for the remainder of the week into this upcoming weekend. Temperature will cool off enough toward the end of the week and by Friday morning some widespread frost is possible.
