Justin Liles: Strong winds, bitter cold, and lake effect snow
Wow! The winds have sure put a bite in the air today. Winds will remain breezy from the northwest this evening with gusts to 35 to 45 mph possible. Higher gusts to 60 mph will be possible along the North Shore. This will lead to wind chills in the -10° to -25° range.
Strong winds like this could also lead to some power outages around the region too. The most likely spots will be along the north shore. Skies will remain cloudy tonight with snow showers ending, outside of the northwest Wisconsin snow belts. Additional snowfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches will be possible across parts of Ashland and Iron Counties through Thursday morning.
