Flooding is the word over the next 24 to 36 hours. Snow is melting fast with temperatures climbing into the 60s and 70s. Several parts of the Northland are seeing flood warnings near Mellen and Odanah on the Bad and Tyler Forks Rivers. The St. Louis River looks to get close to peak late Saturday into Sunday. Therefore, this region is currently under a watch. Ponding water and rushing rapids will continue to dominate the weather headlines.

If you’re going to be out looking at waterfalls around the region please exercise caution. Temperatures Wednesday are likely going to be even warmer than Tuesday. We may see 70° all over the region or close to it. If traveling to Minneapolis shorts and air conditioners are to the story. The Twin Cities is looking at mid to upper 80s Wednesday. Rain looks to return from the Twin Ports north to the International Border Thursday and Friday. Any rain that falls will likely increase chances for flooding. Scattered rain showers look to continue through the weekend.
