Justin Liles: The holiday travel outlook
A dominate northwest flow has taken hold here in the Northland. Flurries to light snow showers will continue through the evening across the northern tier of the region. Under this northwest flow will give us multiple chance for snow chance this week and into the weekend. There will be a prolonged period of lake effect snow along the South Shore, especially for the snowbelt of Iron County. Accumulations will become more likely later week into the weekend. Gusty northwest winds will once again pick up Thursday night into Friday. This will likely be the time period that will lead to the worst of the holiday travel.
Temperatures by the end of the week will see highs in the teens and overnight lows dropping into the single digits. Other than tomorrow there will be little sun the rest of the week and through the weekend.
