Justin Liles: Warmer away from the lake

Our weather will be rather pleasant tonight and again on Wednesday. Most of us will see some sunshine mixed in with some clouds tomorrow. Winds will likely be off the lake by the afternoon and create cooler conditions by the lake. Temperatures will likely drop quickly by the lake so make sure to carry a jacket with you if downtown or in Canal Park. Clouds will continue to increase as we see a chance of light scattered rain returning Thursday and lasting through the weekend.

Showers on Thursday will be widespread and then more localized to the Iron Range Friday. By the start of the Wisconsin fishing opener. Rain showers are likely from the Twin Ports south through Wisconsin. If heading out onto the lake this weekend make sure to bring the rain gear. Breezy conditions return this weekend too. These winds will likely be off the lake keep shoreline communities much cooler than farther inland. Temperatures look to become more spring like next week with 60s and possibly 70s.
