Kids unleashed at the Whipper Snapper races down at Bayfront
Grandma’s Marathon weekend shouldn’t be just for adults! Parents brought their kids to the Whipper Snapper Races down Bayfront.
These races happen every year; they are free and open to all children 14 years old and younger. All participants receive a finisher medal and a goodie bag after their race.
Whipper-Snapper Races for Kids are also accessible to our wheelchair and adaptive participants. Families let their kids race throughout Bayfront Festival Park on Friday afternoon, joining hundreds of other children running.
These fun, short-distance races are the perfect way to introduce kids to running or to keep the fire burning bright for your future marathon finisher.
The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Young Athletes Foundation. Some of the other activities for kids ranged from an obstacle course to a climbing wall, a bounce house, and so much more!
