Kitchi Gammi Park at Brighton Beach is scheduled to re-open
On Friday October 24th, The City of Duluth released a press release inviting the public to the grand re-opening Kitchi Gammi Park. The newly-renovated and restored Kitchi Gammi Park/Brighton Beach will have a ribbon cutting celebration. This is following years of ongoing construction and restoration efforts.
Mayor Roger Reinert, City of Duluth staff, and community partners will celebrate the
completion of the long-term projects and highlight the features of the newly-renovated park for
attendees.
This event will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, 1:00 – 2:00 PM, near the stone fireplace building/2nd restroom building. The public can witness the completion of the major park upgrades. These include new restrooms, picnic sites, shoreline resiliency, rewilding, ADA accessibility. There’s also a new one-way roadway, parking, extended Lakewalk, and much more throughout Kitchi Gammi Park at Brighton Beach.
