It was a fun weekend for motor heads in the Duluth area as many of them were at this year’s Lake Superior college car show.
The free event was organized by students in the automotive club to celebrate the ending to a long year in the workshop.
Auto service instructor at the college Stuart Soland said the students secured sponsorships for prizes and made logistical arrangements that boosted their communication and project management skills.
One of the event coordinators Sam Swanson said it’s great to have the event back after the pandemic and they are excited to see a large turn out this year.
“This is a massive car community, and it’s great to see everybody coming out. It is great to see everybody smiling, and seeing such good cars coming out. We love seeing this”
Although the show is free to the public, interested car owners were asked for pay a $5 show fee to enter their car. Proceeds from fees and sponsorships will go to support the Automotive Club efforts in future years through the Lake Superior College Foundation.
