Over 150 students at Lake Superior College earned a certificate, diploma, or associate degree from one of 29 different program areas.

To celebrate these accomplishments, the school hosted a Fall Graduation Reception on Monday.

There we met Medi Mekonnen, who graduated with her degree in Computer Information Systems.

She had a big family group help her come celebrate. “They came from Ethiopia, Iceland, and Ireland. I’m really happy about it,” Mekonnen said. “I love Lake Superior College.”

The students are also invited to be part of the May commencement ceremony at the DECC.
