Late night fire claims laundry building in Grand Marais
Cook County officials say the North Shore Laundry Services building in Grand Marais, Minnesota is a total loss after the building caught fire during the evening hours of Tuesday, October 10th.
Firefighters responded to North Shore Laundry Services on Cedar Grove Lane just shortly after 10:00 p.m. after receiving multiple calls about a fire in the area.
Officials say no injuries were reported and nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire.
Responding units to the fire include Cook County Sheriff’s office, North Shore Health Ambulance, Grand Marais Fire Department, Colvill Fire Department, Grand Marais First Responders, Grand Marais Public Utilities, Lutsen Fire Department, and the Maple Hill Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
