Law enforcement arrest 14 non-compliant predatory offenders during operation in Duluth

The U.S. Marshal’s Sex Offender Investigation Branch, the Duluth Police Department, and St. Louis County
Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation in Duluth. From February 3rd to March 21st, they worked to get non-compliant predatory offenders into compliance.

There are 338 predatory offenders (PORs) in Duluth area according to Duluth Police Department. During the operation, 104 PORs were contacted and 47 were found to be non-compliant.

14 of those offenders were arrested during the operation. On March 2nd, a violent offender who had a history with law enforcement with a ghost AR-15 was seized, according to the Police Department. The Chief of Police for Duluth, Mike Ceynowa, made a statement about the operation.

“The collaboration between every agency during this operation was crucial in getting these predatory offenders into compliance,” said Chief Mike Ceynowa. “We look forward to continuing our partnership in holding these offenders accountable in our community.”
