Colleagues of the late Senator David Tomassoni spoke fondly of him, ahead of naming a portion of Highway 169 for him.
Both the House and Senate approved the bill on Wednesday. The 40-mile stretch is from Marble to Mt. Iron, and Tomassoni advocated for improvements to this highway.
Private funds will pay for the signage.
