Lincoln Park will be having a new restaurant coming to the Craft District called Burger Paradox. Tom Hanson, the owner of Duluth Grill, also started other businesses like Goat Hill Marketplace, OMC Smokehouse and Corktown Deli. However, the new venture Hanson is beginning is a dive bar that offers affordable bar food.
Dan Lefebvre, a Managing Partner, explained the new restaurant is located at the closed Coach’s Bar and Grill. “It’s coming along. The more we pull apart, obviously, the more we realize how much work is at hand.” Lefebvre said. “We’re in the process of refinishing it and making it clean and hopefully a fun space for everybody. We really felt like Lincoln Park needed something that was late night, a little bit more affordable.”
Several years ago, residents will remember Duluth Grill had several dinner options, and the new restaurant , Burger Paradox, will bring those items back. “It’s going to be smash burgers, craft cocktails, beef fat fries, bring in some of the old favorites from Duluth Grill. We’ve got some things coming from OMC.” Lefebvre said. “I think there is a layer of trying to do something unique in the cocktail game. The Lincoln Park neighborhood is full of great breweries. But there really isn’t a lot of spaces where you can get a good cocktail. So it’s something we’re trying to bring to the table.”
Lefebvre also said that their team is ready to grow and develop as well as look for opportunities to showcase their skills. “Everything in Lincoln Park is executed at a high level. It’s called the craft district for a reason. We’re just adding layers to it. You know, we’re really not doing anything crazy out of out of the ordinary of what people expect in this neighborhood. But we’re just trying to have some fun.” Lefebvre said. Burger Paradox is opening on May 21st, which is the anniversary of when Duluth Grill opened.
