Local fire crews respond to Structure Fire Gnesen Township

A couple hours after midnight St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and area fire departments were dispatched to a structure fire in the Gnesen Township. Early Saturday morning fire crews were dispatched to Echo Lane.

The residents woke up to the sound of fire alarms and rushed out of the building. Everyone made it out of the house. Although one woman was seen by emergency medical services for possible smoke inhalation.

The structure appears to be a total loss. The owner does have homeowners insurance and declined the services of the Red Cross.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted and will be investigating the cause of the structure fire in the Gnesen Township. However, law enforcement on the scene, says nothing appeared suspicious in nature .

Responding Fire Departments were Gnesen Fire, Rice Lake Fire, Normanna Fire, Lakewood Fire, Canosia Fire, Northstar Fire and Air National Guard fire along with Mayo Ambulance service.
