Man airlifted after falling down steps at Tettegouche

A 70-year-old man had to be airlifted Sunday after falling down the steps to the High Falls at Tettegouche State Park. Initial reports said he was bleeding from the head.

The call came in at 12:25 p.m. Park rangers, Lake County Ambulance and Lake County Rescue arrived around 1 p.m. A nurse on the scene told the patient was stable and had multiple cuts.

Around 1:38 p.m., they called for Lifelink to transport the patient. Lifelink arrive just after 2 p.m. that afternoon and had the patient in the air before 3 p.m.

Lake County Rescue, Lake County Ambulance, Silver Bay Police Department, Silver Bay Fire Department, Tettegouche State Park Ranger, and Lifelink assisted the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
