Man arrested following crash on Central Entrance

At approximately 3:20 p.m., Thursday, June 15, Duluth Police were dispatched to a report of a head-on collision on Central Entrance below Mesaba. Initial investigation shows that a male driving a vehicle crossed the center line and collided with oncoming traffic where they hit a vehicle head-on. The vehicle that was hit had two individuals in the car at the time of the impact. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and one was transported to a local hospital for treatment related to the collision. The driver, later identified as a 62-year-old man, was arrested pending DWI-related charges and other driving-related infractions.
