Man faces three charges after Duluth break-in

Prosecutors have filed charges against a man after a burglary incident in Duluth.

Leland Cole Lewis, 47, faces burglary, obstruct legal process, and failing to fulfill registration requirement as a predatory offender.

This stems from a call about a person breaking windows in an apartment on E 2nd Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded, and said Lewis was armed with a knife. They tried to get him to lay down on the floor.

The complaint said he would not cooperate, so officers used a taser.

Officers said he had property that did not belong to him, including gaming consoles.

The complaint also said that Lewis was in violation of the felony predatory offender/failure to register statute.
