Charges filed after shots fired incident in Superior

A 19-year-old Superior man faces three charges after a shots fired incident from the weekend.

Officers responded to Billings Park, after person called 911 about Leo Mallett. The reporting party said Mallett was very intoxicated, and was being aggressive with a gun.

The complaint said the defendant had just moved into an apartment with several friends.

The group had been watching the Super Bowl at another location, and returned to the apartment.

According to the complaint, on the way back, Mallett fired a gun into the floor of the vehicle he was riding in. One witness said he also pointed the gun at houses as they passed by.

When inside the apartment, he allegedly was angry, and punching walls. He also allegedly punched out a window screen, and fired the gun again.

One roommate reported he confronted Mallett, who then allegedly pointed the gun at him.

After that, the complaint said Mallett shot out a window in the living room.

Mallett’s blood alcohol level was .289, according to a PBT administered.
