Man rescued at Park Point Beach

A 38-year-old man from Mt Iron was rescued after reported as unresponsive in the waters off Park Point Beach around 5:40pm on Friday July 12th.

First responders, a good Samaritan and on duty lifeguards were able to bring the man to shore and start life saving measures. Lifeguards were able to stabilize the man and he was transported to St. Lukes hospital by Mayo Ambulance.

The man was in serious condition at the time of the transport. Alcohol consumption is a suspected contributing factor to the incident.
