Mayoral candidate Roger Reinert hosts ice cream social series

Duluth mayoral candidate Roger Reinert hosted the second of three ice cream socials on Wednesday afternoon. The event was held at Chilly Billy’s and served as a way for community members to meet Reinert, learn more about his visions and express their needs and concerns. Reinert’s team says that these meetings are intentionally spread throughout the community and held on different days in order to accommodate various work and parenting schedules.

“I realize this is not a traditional method for campaigning, but it is very much my style” said Reinert. “I want to create a space for community conversations, where Duluthians can be heard. I’m also a civics teacher at heart and value creating opportunities where we can all meet and talk with others whom we might not already agree with. That doesn’t happen enough anymore.”

Roger Reinert’s third and final ice cream social will be held on July 27^th from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at Dairy Queen West.
