Parishioners jump into the big lake to celebrate Christ’s baptism

Twelve Holy Apostles members celebrated the baptism of Christ by jumping in Lake Superior ON Monday.

To celebrate Jesus Christ’s baptism in the Jordan River, members of the Twelve Holy Apostles Orthodox Church came down for the annual blessing of the waters on Monday.

And then, some of them jumped into Lake Superior!

Father Dustin Lyon blessed the cross, and then threw it in.

Karl Kakuk’s son was the first one to grab it. Karl and his godfather both took the plunge.
