Memorial Blood Centers to close Hibbing location

After operating in Hibbing for almost 25 years, Memorial Blood Centers say they plan to close their Hibbing Donor Center, located at 1200 East 25th Street #204.
In a letter sent to donors, they say the closure is due various factors. Their last day of operations in Hibbing will be on April 15th.
Memorial Blood Centers says they are continuing to serve donors in the Iron Range and those who need lifesaving blood. They say they will open the Virginia Donor Center, located at 901 9th Street North, two additional days per week. They also say they will have mobile blood drives in Hibbing for those who cannot make it to Virginia.
The Virginia Donor Center hours will be:
Monday, Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Every one-hour donation can save up to three lives. If you would like more information on how to schedule a donation, visit mbc.org.
