Mesabi East kids enjoy a delicious Farm to School Minnesota lunch of Red Lake walleye

A special lunch menu on Thursday at Mesabi East.
500 kids and staff enjoyed citrus butter walleye from Red Lake. The butter came from Millerville, Minnesota.
This was all part of their award-winning Farm2School program. The first Thursday of each month will be a Farm to School Minnesota lunch.
Students even helped take out some of the bones of the fillets.
The plan is to have more walleye this year, and locally raised pork and beef as well.
