Minnesota Film Festival coming to Duluth this March

The Zeitgeist Zinema held a preview event for the upcoming Minnesota Film Festival

The Zeitgeist Zinema held a preview event for the upcoming Minnesota Film Festival on Thursday February 20th.

The Minnesota Film Festival will be kicking off March 19th to March 23rd and will feature over 100 short films from local and global artists.

At the preview event they introduced a few of the films they’ll be showing like their spotlight film Boundary Waters, a coming-of-age film shot in Ely.

They also introduced their opening night film Mississippi Speed Run.

“Our opening night film is Mississippi Speed Run. It follows a group of paddlers who are working to beat the speed record of canoeing the entire Mississippi river from its source to the end,” said Mathew Berg, the Program Director of the Minnesota Film Festival. “We have some paddlers coming and the filmmakers as well. It’s a very exciting film to see if they do in fact beat the record.”
