Law enforcement agencies across the state are carrying the Flame of Hope to raise awareness for the Special Olympics.
The Duluth Police Department took their turn- running form Brighton Beach to West Duluth. Athletes, civilians, UMD Police, and 148th fighter wing also came to support the cause.
They pass the torch on to Carlton County officers.
The Flame of Hope symbolizes courage and celebrations of diversity and the inclusion of all people around the world.
The Minnesota Special Olympics Summer Games is Saturday in Stillwater.
The Torch Run began in 1989 in Wichita, Kansas and is now done by law enforcement across the country.
