Minnesota State Chancellor visits Hibbing to hear about higher ed priorities ahead of budget request
Industry leaders shared ideas about workforce development with the Minnesota State Chancellor in Hibbing on Thursday.
The 2025 legislative session may seem fairly far away. But planning is already underway when it comes to budget requests.
That’s why leaders of Minnesota State are touring different campuses to hear what the priorities and concerns are.
Chancellor Scott Olson stopped at Minnesota North Hibbing on Thursday morning. He heard from dozens of industry stakeholders about challenges, and possible solutions for training the workforce.
Olson said the Range is a unique and magnificent place, and he was glad to visit.
The budget request will be submitted to the state in November.
