Minnesota Supreme Court travels to Rock Ridge to hear oral arguments, meet with students

A unique morning for students at Rock Ridge, as they spent an hour listening to the Minnesota Supreme Court hear oral arguments.

This is part of the Supreme Court Traveling Oral Arguments program, and marked the 55th such event for the court.

The issues being debated Thursday surrounded the use of cell phone location data from Google, obtained through warrants. The defendant was convicted of murder in Minneapolis, and is challenging issues surrounding the warrants.

Students had the chance to ask questions after the official court hearing ended.

The court will issue an opinion on the case within 3-6 months.
