Missing man’s body found in Cook County’s Seagull Lake
After a missing person’s report came in Sunday night, Cook County Sheriff’s officials have discovered the body of a missing man in Seagull Lake.
The victim has been identified as Mickeal Ray Brown, 63 of Montgomery, Texas.
Authorities say that on May 14, at approximately 11:24 p.m. they received a call of a missing person on Seagull Lake. Due to the time of the call they would begin search efforts early Monday morning.
Monday at 7:00am, Cook County Search and Rescue began to mobilize to include water, ground, and air searches of the area adjacent to where the person was last seen.
The caller had said the man was last seen paddling towards Trail End Campground. They said he was wearing some kind of floatation device.
Approximately at 7:42am the missing victim was found and identified.
The body will be transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner Office for an autopsy.
