MMIR holds vigil for Chantel Moose and Peter Martin

Following recent arrests in the case of 27-year-old Chantel Moose, a vigil was held at the memorial site of Moose’s death. Moose died from a stab wound in Duluth on April 12th 2024.

Wednesday June 26th the Duluth Police department reported Darrius Plummer was taken into custody on 2nd degree murder without intent and 2nd degree assault with a deadly weapon. Plummer is the second person charged in connection to the death of Chantel Moose.

The local MMIR friends and family gathered at the memorial site of Moose’s death in light of the developments in the ongoing investigation. Friends and family of 31-year-old Peter Martain also attended the vigil.

Peter Martin, 31, was last seen in the Mahnomen neighborhood of the Fond du Lac Reservation on March 8. He is described as 5’10” tall and 185 pounds and has a small scar on his forehead.
