MnDOT to give Hwy 169 & 200 roundabout presentation to Hill City City Council
On Tuesday, April 9th, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will give a presentation at Hill City’s Council meeting. The presentation will go into detail regarding the roundabout construction of Hwys 169 & 200. The goal of MnDOT’s roundabout construction project is improving the safety of the intersection at Hwy 169 and Hwy 200.
MnDOT will engage the public, agencies and businesses this summer through one-on-one meetings, public meetings and more.
After the hearing from community feedback MnDOT will begin their design process by analyzing the area. Then finalize the remaining details of the roundabout at hwys 169 and 200. Finally the construction of the roundabout will begin in 2025.
The projected cost of the MnDOT’s roundabout construction will be $2 million. There will be improvements to the intersection of highways 169 and 200 in Hill City.
