Mother’s Day Brunch at Silos restaurant in Pier B Hotel and Resort
Today, families were preparing breakfast in bed for mom. However, the Silos restaurant at Pier B wanted to treat moms to an all-out Mother’s Day brunch buffet. Moms could enjoy a delicious meal with prime short rib, omelets, peeling and eating shrimp, and also bottomless mimosas.
Doug Dalager the Director of Food and Beverage Pier B, says Mother’s Day is one of many big buffet brunches.
“We do them for Mother’s day, Easter, Thanksgiving. We’re just really happy to host people in Duluth you can come with your family, Mom doesn’t have to cook,” Dalager said. “Unfortunately some of my employees are moms, they have to work, but we treat them to a buffet after the buffet closes for the day.”
Dalager also says it takes plenty of work preparing all the food for the Mother’s Day brunch buffet.
“Well, my banquet chef Mark Scheimer starts working on this two or three days in advance. He’s got lots of prep work. He’s got probably 20 prime ribs that he had to cook off for this,” Dalager said. “All kinds of breakfast food. We’ve got salmon, all kinds of entrees, salads, potatoes, whatever you want.”
