Multiple injuries in two-car accident reported in St. Louis County

Authorities responded to an accident on Highway 2 in Brevator Township on the morning December 29.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, a Chevrolet Suburban was travelling east on Highway 2 when a Mercury SUV coming off Highway 33 accelerated into the intersection and broadsided the Suburban.
Several injuries were reported in the accident, both of the Mercury’s occupants, as well as two of the Suburban’s six. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening and the injured parties were brought to a local hospital for treatment.
Responding agencies include the Minnesota State Patrol, as well as the Saint Louis Sheriff, the Saint Louis County Rescue, and Cloquet Fire and Ambulance.
