The Fond Du Lac honor guard helped host the first Powwow in Lincoln Park Duluth since the Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday June 12th.

The Fond Du Lac honor guard helped host the first Powwow in Lincoln Park Duluth since the Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday June 12th.
 
From 1:00pm to 8:30pm, at the Renee Van Nett pavilion, the community gathered to honor Duluth High Schools Indigenous graduates and host a jingle dress special.

“With the pandemic and everything that’s gone on in the last few years, it’s amazing for us to come together and listen to the drum,” said Billie Defoe Veteran Service Officer for Fond Du Lac. “People can be together it’s healing for everybody.”
