After been put on hold due to covid Egg-Splosion is back.
The annual event which includes egg dyeing techniques and launching competition is put together by the Northern expressions arts collective (NEAC).
The Director of Operations, Leanne Weber said due to the rising prices of eggs and groceries in general more emphasis is being put on egg-based crafts and games.
“We’re so excited to be back here coming out of, you know, the pandemic and getting our families and neighbors to come back, come together and connect and just have a good time and welcome spring, even if it doesn’t look like it outside”
Egg-Splosion also served as the final day for NEAC’s “Good Egg” campaign, an initiative to recognize individuals and organizations making difference in the community. Participants had the opportunity to nominate someone as a Good Egg.
The N-E-A-C brings families together to share opportunities for artistic play, using visual, expressive and culinary arts as their medium and they meet at the Harrison community center.
