New hours Superior National Forest Headquarters in Duluth

The Superior National Forest Service announces new hours for its Headquarters in Duluth on 8901 Grand Avenue Place. Beginning Monday, April 18 the office will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This time change will continue year-round.

For BWCAW permit holders, if the hour changes affects your permit pick up at the Duluth office, you should call the office at 218-626-4300 to request an alternate issue station. For all other inquiries or if you expect to be impacted by the change in hours, call to speak with a Forest Service employee to make alternate arrangements.

The new office hours will be updated on the Forest Service website and the Forest Facebook page on the effective date. This is a change from current hours of 8:00 am -4:30 pm.

Spring and Summer Hours for the Ranger Districts:

Gunflint Ranger District: May 1 – September 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7-days a week.
Kawishiwi Ranger District: May 1 – September 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7-days a week.
LaCroix Ranger District: May 1 – September 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Open Monday – Saturday
Laurentian Ranger District: May 1 – September 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
Tofte Ranger District: May 1 – September 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7-days a week.
