New initiative aims to form new community connections

Northern Expressions Arts Collective announced their Community Connection Initiative, a partnership between NEAC, the City of Duluth, and several community foundations and organizations. Their goal is to expand their successful program in Lincoln Park to other neighborhoods in the Twin Ports area.

According to event officials, the initiative is a two-year pilot program designed to connect the families in our neighborhoods to one another in fun and exciting ways. They want as many community members as possible to be able to participate so there is no charge to attend the programs. The events will take place in several different parks, buildings, community centers, local businesses, and churches in different neighborhoods in the Duluth area. Program leaders also plan to have different events catered to different age groups in hopes that people of all ages will benefit from the initiative.
