KindredHeart has been open now for a few weeks. Located at 820 Tower Avenue, the shop includes mostly homemade items.

The owner is Mikinzie Schilling. She told us, “I wanted it to be special. I wanted it to be different and how do you make it different? By filling it up with love. By filling it up with things that people haven’t really seen before or you know there’s not many shops out there that are just selling local.”

She found the vendors on Facebook Marketplace.

And she’s already planning on hosting a big event. “Take Back the Night” is coming up on Tuesday, April 29th, from 4-8:30pm.

There will be an opportunity to check out vendors, and then there’s a march and speeches.

Schilling told us she can’t wait to help people feel more empowered.

Also, she offers chakra therapeutics and astrology readings.

“My motto is to seek and find the kindred connection within. And in order to do that we have to find the connections with others. So I want to really just gain that with everyone in our community between Duluth and Superior,” she added.
