Night to Shine gives people with special needs a night to remember in Proctor
The organization Night to Shine puts together incredible prom experiences to kids with special needs, Friday night at Proctor High School was one of those experiences.
The Midwest Christian Fellowship was the organization that put together the Night to Shine prom. It’s been taking place of Proctor High School for 8 years now.
The guests were invited to dress up, bring a friend or family member, and enjoy a night filled with dinner, dancing and party games. Attendees were also given the chance to ride in a limo, walk the red carpet and get their hair and makeup done by volunteers.
The honored guests’ ages range from 14 and up. And every year the volunteers get excited to see everyone arrive, as it can have a big impact on them. “We hear stories every year, that this event changes lives. It changes career paths. Especially for the kids coming out of high school. I mean they may wanted to go one way and this event changed them,” says Event Co-Coordinator Mollie Haag.
Night to Shine is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and other local supporters.
