One dead after North Shore motorcycle crash
A 62-year-old man was killed Sunday morning, July 28 after a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 61 near Silver Bay.
According to the State Patrol’s accident report, the rider was heading south on Highway 61 when his motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch, hitting a road sign and bush around 11 a.m. where he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities say the man was wearing a helmet, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.
Responding agencies include the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County EMS, Lake County Rescue, as well as the Minnesota DNR.
