One dead following Eveleth camper fire

Early Wednesday afternoon, the Eveleth Police Department along with the Fayal Fire Department were dispatched to a camper fire at 4299 Clyde Road, Eveleth, MN.

Officers arrived on scene and found the camper fully burned to the ground. Human remains were found in the debris of the fire and were transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification.

The incident remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office and Eveleth Police Department. The Gilbert Police Office and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
