One fatality in Pine County car crash

The Minnesota State Patrol has reported that a two vehicle accident in Ogema Township in Pine County resulted in the death of driver, and the injury of another on February 22 .

According to the report, a Buick sedan was driving westbound on Highway 48 when it crossed the centerline and collided with a Ford pickup coming the other way.

The driver of the Buick, a 40-year-old man from Mora, MN, was killed in the accident. The State Patrol says that he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision, and believes that alcohol was involved.

The driver of the Ford did suffer injuries, though the report lists them as “non-life threatening.”

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Pine County Sheriff and Fire Department, Essentia Health Ambulance, and the Danbury Fire Department.
