One suspect in custody in fatal shooting near Dollar Tree Ashland

Around 2AM, Ashland Police officers responded to a 911 call where the caller reported hearing gun shots by Dollar Tree, in the City of Ashland.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered two deceased males with gunshot wounds, lying in the alley behind that original call location.

A person of interest was located near the scene and was subsequently arrested. No other details or identities are being released at this time.

This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no indication of further danger to the public.

This is an ongoing investigation in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
