One week left to apply for FEMA aid for Minnesota’s flooding

The deadline for homeowners and renters to apply for FEMA assistance for the June 16th to July 4th flooding in Minnesota is Sunday October 27th.

The assistance can include funds for driveways, roads, bridges, repair or replacement of housing, temporary housing, property, vehicles, medical, dental, childcare, and other expenses.

Counties approved for funding include Blue Earth, Cook, Cottonwood, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Itasca, Jackson, Lake, Le Sueur, Martin, Mower, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Rice, Rock, St. Louis, Steele, Waseca, and Watonwan.

Those affected by flooding in the approved counties can apply online, using the FEMA mobile app, or over the phone at 1-800-621-3362 from 6am to 10pm.

Application requires a social security number, address of damages, insurance information, and up to date contact information.
